Frame fit guide.

Three measurements, six face shapes, seven silhouettes — here's how to pick the pair that lands.

The three numbers on every pair

Every sunglasses spec follows the same convention: lens width — bridge — temple length, all in millimeters. Our Morning Drive is 63-20-150, which means each lens is 63mm wide, the bridge between them is 20mm, and the temples are 150mm long. Knowing your numbers makes picking the right pair almost mechanical.

Lens width
48-65 mm

Measure straight across one of your existing sunglasses lens (or hold a ruler at your temple, eye to outer cheek). Most adult faces fall between 48mm (small) and 60mm (large). Anything 60mm+ reads bold.

Bridge
14-22 mm

The gap between the two lenses, measured at the bridge of your nose. Narrower bridges (14-17mm) suit smaller noses; wider (19-22mm) accommodates a higher or wider nose. If your sunglasses slide down, you want a narrower bridge.

Temple length
135-150 mm

Measured along the temple arm from hinge to tip. Most adult heads fit 140-145mm; longer hair, larger heads, or pulled-back ponytails benefit from 148-150mm. If your sunglasses pinch behind your ears, go longer.

Match the silhouette to your face shape

The classic rule: contrast over match. Sharp-jawed faces look better in rounder frames; softer, rounder faces look better in sharper, more angular frames. Below is a quick guide — yours might bend the rules.

Oval

Slightly longer than wide, balanced jaw and forehead. The luckiest face shape — most silhouettes work.

Best HUDDYS picksAlmost any. Lean into shapes that match your style — Morning Drive, Tee Box, or Reservation are all flattering.

Round

Equal width and height, soft jawline, full cheeks. Need angular frames for contrast.

Best HUDDYS picksMorning Drive (squared shield), Tee Box (soft-squared wayfarer), Reservation (rimless squared). Avoid the very rounded Out the Back.

Square

Strong jaw, broad forehead, equal width and length. Need rounder, softer frames to balance.

Best HUDDYS picksOut the Back (round metal), Poolside (soft cat-eye), Trailhead (Holbrook-cut). Avoid the rectangular Reservation.

Heart

Wider forehead, narrow jaw and chin. Frames that add width at the bottom or balance the chin work best.

Best HUDDYS picksPoolside (cat-eye balances the chin), Out the Back (rounds out the angle), Trailhead. Avoid very top-heavy aviators.

Diamond

Narrow forehead and jaw, wider cheekbones. Frames that emphasize the brow line and add width up top work best.

Best HUDDYS picksMorning Drive (brow bar), Track Day (brow bar), Out the Back (brow bar). Brow-bar styles play to the diamond's strength.

Oblong

Longer than wide, with similar forehead and jaw width. Wider, deeper frames break up vertical length.

Best HUDDYS picksTee Box (soft-squared, deeper lens), Morning Drive (wider 63mm lens), Poolside (oversized cat-eye). Avoid very small frames that exaggerate length.

Quick decision tree

If you usually wear medium-to-large frames → start with Morning Drive (63-20-150) or Track Day (58-20-150). Both are bold, both have brow bars, both photograph well.

If you usually wear smaller, softer frames → Reservation (57-18-135) or Poolside (54-18-140). Reservation reads dressed; Poolside reads weekend.

If you want one pair that does the most → Tee Box (54-17-138). The most universal silhouette in the lineup. Country-club coded but reads clean in city, car, and clubhouse.

If you want the most "different from your last pair" → Out the Back (54-20-140) or Trailhead (55-18-138). Both move you out of the standard wayfarer / aviator pattern.
