The lineup

Seven moments. One pair, all day.

Seven styles, named for the moments they're made for. Engineered the same — non-polarized, UV400, ready for the dash and everything after.

Edition 01 · Seven styles

The lineup.

01 — The idea

Built for the in-between.

Most sunglasses are designed for one moment — the beach, the bike, the boardwalk. They forget the part that connects the moments. The drive.

You drive to surf. You drive to the trailhead. You drive to the course. You drive to dinner. The drive is half the day, and most sunglasses make a worse driver out of you the second you put them on — polarized lenses turn your heads-up display into a rainbow ghost.

HUDDYS are designed the other way around. Engineered first for the drive, finished to look right everywhere else. One pair, driveway to dinner. No second case in your glovebox. No swap when you park.

This is the simplest possible promise — that the sunglasses you wear to the thing also work for getting there.

02 — Polarized vs HUDDYS

The wedge

Polarized kills your HUD.
We don't.

Polarization is a film inside most sunglasses that blocks horizontal light. It's also what blocks the light coming off your car's heads-up display — and increasingly off your phone, your dashboard, your nav screen. We took it out. On purpose.

Driver's view through polarized sunglasses — the heads-up display is gone, the windshield reads dark
Through any polarized lens HUD goes dark
Compromised
Driver's view through HUDDYS — the heads-up display reads sharp, speed and navigation visible on the windshield
Through HUDDYS HUD reads sharp
Engineered

It's not that polarized is bad. It's that polarized is the wrong tool for a windshield with a HUD behind it. The trade-off most brands made forty years ago doesn't fit the car you bought last year.

What replaces polarization on a HUDDYS lens? A precise three-coat stack — hard scratch, back-surface anti-reflective, and hydrophobic / oleophobic. Glare control done with chemistry, not polarization film.

Non-polarized. On purpose. Because polarized kills your HUD.

05 — How they're built

The build

Engineered once.
Worn for the day.

A short list of decisions, made deliberately, before any frame was sourced. Every spec on this page is on the production sheet, not the marketing sheet.

01 / 04

Polycarbonate, base 6

The same lens family used in driving and shooting eyewear. Impact-resistant. Optically clean across the full curve.

02 / 04

Three-coat stack

Hard scratch coat. Back-surface anti-reflective. Hydrophobic / oleophobic top layer. Glare control without polarization film.

03 / 04

UV400, standard

Full UVA & UVB block on every pair, every color, every batch. Listed on the spec sheet because it isn't an option to remove it.

04 / 04

Spring-hinge metal

Holds shape after a glovebox toss. Reads precise, not industrial. Tightened by hand on every pair before it ships.

A note to the reader

"Drive to surf. Drive to hike. Drive to play. Don't switch glasses on the way."

The HUDDYS thesis
06 — A note from the founder
Titan, founder of HUDDYS, wearing a pair of HUDDYS sunglasses

From the founder

The Saturday that started this.

I drove a friend's new car for the first time and saw a heads-up display project the speed and exit info onto the windshield in front of me. Best feature I'd ever experienced in a car. I knew that same afternoon I'd never go back.

Then I put on my polarized Ray-Bans and the HUD vanished. A rainbow ghost where the speed used to be. I almost missed an exit.

I assumed someone made non-polarized driving sunglasses worth wearing. They didn't. Plenty of tactical and sport pairs sell non-polarized as an afterthought, but nothing was designed for the way drivers actually live — drive, then do, drive, then do, all day, one pair.

HUDDYS exists for the millions of drivers in the same spot. Modern car. Real HUD. Reasonable taste. Better sunglasses.
